The wide, sweeping vignette seen on this note was printed from from engraved plates by Wellstood, Hanks, Hay & Whiting with an \"ABC\" monogram making this a post-1858 issued note. At the bottom, a long train travels west. Hills and a railroad bridge are in the distance. At lower right, seated behind a \"1\" counter, Minerva holds a spear and an olive branch.
