This vibrant proof printed on India paper and mounted on original cardstock was engraved and printed by Rawdon, Wright, Hatch & Edson, New-York. Like the $2 denomination, it has a distinctive layout. Agriculture, Navigation and Commerce, and Industry are seated on the shore at right with various implements to identify them: scythe and cornucopia, sextant and caduceus, and mallet and gear. The left end has a band of lathe work. With a red overprinted Capital $25,000 as used on the other denominations. A neatly placed \"Lazy 3\" is left of center, only overlapping the comptroller's seal slightly. Noted as \"Hole Punch Cancelled\" and \"Mounted on Cardstock\" as made.
