PCGS Fine 12 Apparent.  The state created this unusual bank to create cheap money, necessary in a period of land speculation to alleviate many citizens' debts. Issued notes are rare, and the parent bankers in Frankfort worked until 1855 to settle bank affairs. Notes were likely discounted, but their rarity indicates most were redeemed in some manner. Athena's helmet and shield are at the top among other symbolic items, and her cameo profile is below. Allegorical females are in cartouches in the end panels. The Murray, Draper, Fairman & Co. imprint is at the bottom. \"Minor Mounting Remnants on Back\" are mentioned by PCGS. A very solid note and interesting artifact from Kentucky's banking history.
