PCGS Extremely Fine 45.  While not a very rare type, this has always been a popular Texas private issuer note. Engraved and printed by Draper, Toppan, Longacre & Co. and not properly signed or issued. At top center, a small train loaded with bales heads east toward the harbor. A man sits on a fallen tree and watches it depart. Between textual block counters in the left end panel is an oval vignette of blacksmiths at work. The right end shows ONE on a sculptural lathe work panel. A lone star in a circle is at the base. These remainders are notorious for poor trimming. This is above average for the type with extra paper at the upper left. Only a short portion of the top right edge is trimmed in slightly. A beautiful example of this engraved Texas type. Ex: Eric P.
