The face margins are extremely wide and even, providing a beautiful frame. The centering on both sides is perfect. Strongly penned signatures of Joseph Watkins, Jr. and Nicholas Garrison are at lower right. The emblem shows a hand bleeding from thorn pricks; the motto is SUSTINE VEL ABSTINE (Either survive or give up).
