Two men are at opposite ends of a cannon.  The man on the left, at the back (non-lethal) end is sitting on bags of money.  He's dressed very formally in a suit, with spats, gloves, top hat, boutonniere, pearl stickpin, monocle and walking stick to complete the ensemble. He's looking very impassive.  The other man, at the mouth of the cannon, is very different.  He appears to be working class or poor, with worn shoes, baggy pants, shirt with no tie and the sleeves rolled up, a vest and a cloth cap.  He's leaning toward the back of the cannon, with his left hand grasping the under side, and his right hand reaching out, holding a lit match, trying to light the fuse, even though his body is blocking the opening.
