Departing passengers on the steamship and train exchange farewells with those remaining behind. The vessel, locomotive and factories behind spew black smoke. A portrait of a veiled woman is in the oval toward the right. Noted as \"Hole Punch Cancelled\" and \"Mounted on Cardstock\" as made. The Krause Collection example was a low-grade issued note. The only other $1 proof we know of in private hands came from the Toppan, Carpenter & Co. archive book we auctioned in the September 2014 Long Beach Signature sale.
