Proof. PCGS Choice About New 58 Apparent.  The Newman collection was able to obtain exceedingly rare Western Bank of Missouri India paper proofs from D.C. Wismer. Printed from a superb plate by the American Bank Note Company. Under the arced title, cows enter the refreshing water. The large state seal is perpendicular at the center of the left end panel, adjacent to the commissioner's signature line. At bottom right is a little girl holding a garment around herself. Deep vermillion dies are at the left corners and spoked color counter at the upper right. A lighter vermillion guilloche is along the bottom center with micro-lettering. The presentation is outstanding and the design is unpublished in Haxby. Noted as \"Hole Punch Cancelled\" as made and with the characteristic \"Mounting Remnants on Back.\" The $10 proof in the same grade from this series (Haxby 70 Design 10Aa) realized $7,050 in Newman Part VI.
