MS-35 G6, Kraus 13855, Leggett-UNL. PCGS Very Fine 25 Apparent.  An exceedingly rare and possibly unique Mississippi banknote. The note is reported in Haxby, but not priced. From those listings, Guy Kraus reported the notes in his book, but appropriately wrote that he had never examined notes from the issuer. We believe this the first note ever offered from the series, and it describes the diagnostics. A primitive local plate, without imprint, was used to print the note on white paper. The layout and designs are the same as the Real Estate Banking Company of Louisville, Mississippi (Leggett 4). An eagle, with shield, trident and horn is at top center. Identical end panels show dies. Obligations are across. With signatures and serial number 11. The lack of background history makes it impossible to determine if the note is properly signed.
