These small gold backed typeset notes are popular, early Salt Lake City Mormon types, and replaced handwritten \"White Notes.\" A very simply made note on thick white paper stock designed to receive an impression of the Seal of the Twelve Apostles, it was designed by Brigham Young and John Taylor while at Nauvoo. Typeset in six lines by Young and Thomas Bullock. The note is signed by N. K. Whitney, Thomas Bullock and Heber C. Kimball as officers; above right is the signature of B. Young.
