CHR48-1. PCGS Very Fine 30 Apparent.  These historic Indian Nation warrants are fascinating and their study has been ongoing because of numerous variants, signatures, and issuance types. Many of the David Vann plate printed forms such as this were signed by Chief John Ross. This is signed by George Lowrey when he was Principal Acting Chief. The style of this warrant is similar to others from the issuer. Printed on white paper and oversize, compared to banknotes of the day. Borders are ornate and bear a resemblance to Native American woven patterns. End patterns are wider and in a different style from the top and bottom borders. A small plow vignette is seen at the upper left, and at bottom left is a denomination block for writing the amount. Obligations are across with space for filling in for issuance. Titles are deftly concealed in the inside of the end borders. The Shull-Criswell is Rarity-10 (11 to 15 known). Endorsed on the back as paid. Noted with \"Rust Stains; Small Edge Splits.\" A rust patch is seen in the left ornaments, but bright overall. Ex: Eric P.
