Remainder. PCGS Very Fine 25 Apparent.  This is a great rarity and not confirmed in Haxby or Durand. Printed on banknote paper, but with the style of an early period proof. It has an excellent impression. There is no imprint, but the style is appears to be Hamlin, who engraved several early Rhode Island types. The small TWO at top center is flanked by circular \"2\" dies. The bottom left shows an oval cow vignette. The upper right shows Hope standing with an anchor. The left end panel shows a perpendicular Gothic TWO with a curlicue between each letter and flourishes at the ends. This is the first reported note and one of the earlier genuine notes from Rhode Island. Noted with \"Tape Repaired Edge Damage at Right; Small Edge Tears.\" This looks to be a unique example whether classified as a \"Remainder\" or a \"Proof.\" Ex: Eric P.
