Proof.  PCGS Choice About New 58 Apparent.  This is an extremely rare Northern Bank of Kentucky proof type engraved by Casilear, Durand, Burton & Edmonds and printed on India paper. The design type illustration is unpublished in both Haxby and Hughes, listed as Haxby KY-175 Design 50A (described, not plated). A very early steam train with open passenger cars heads east at the top center. Fine lathe work panels at each end show perpendicular slanting FIFTY. The base vignette of another early train and passenger car is rendered in fine line detail. Noted as \"Hole Punch Cancelled\" and with \"Tape on Back; Stains.\" The back flaws little affect the face's deeply inked printing clarity. A great Kentucky proof rarity. Ex: Eric P.
