PCGS Choice About New 58.  The Confederate Type 16 is the first Jefferson Davis portrait type. This portrait was also used in 1862, 1863, and 1864. This variety was printed by Keatinge & Ball on watermarked script CSA paper. A bust view of Davis without a frame is at the center. Green tinting is on the bottom half of the note. Plate Ay and serial number 2587. Though the framing is wide on three sides, it is close at the right. Noted as \"Cross-Cut Cancelled.\" A very bold example. Ex: Eric P.
