That is not the case with the August 15, 1945-dated 500 Mils notes, which appear far less frequently than the 1939-dated examples. Though The Standard Catalog of World Paper Money assigns an added premium compared to 1939 dates, that premium does not reflect its true rarity. This also uses the classic and colorful style by De La Rue, with Rachel's tomb near Bethlehem at the left and on the back, the Citadel of Jerusalem in purple.
