PCGS Very Fine 25.  This is another very rare and early Pennsylvania bank. The condition is outstanding for a note from this period. The patriotic imagery at top center showing an eagle with a wide wingspan is appropriate for the War of 1812 period. The banner has the title of the bank. Ornate end panels, with FRANKLIN COUNTY at the right end, are characteristic of the Murray, Draper, Fairman & Co, plate engraving. We have handled only one note from the title, an unlisted $100 denomination note. That magnificent representative realized $3,818.75 at the 2014 FUN sale. Though not as lofty as that high-denomination example, this is significant and attractive. Ex: Eric P.
