The vignette styles are copied from slightly earlier Durand & Co. notes, but the imprint is J. T. Hammond, St. Louis. At top right, over the title, an angel unfurls drapery, revealing seated Athena on a shield. At the left end, a cameo head is within an oval. The lower right shows a steamboat. This popular series of notes was emitted during the brief Mormon migration through Illinois. There is only a \"Small Hole at Right\" noted; otherwise, with a nearly New note appearance. Ex: Eric P.
