PCGS Very Fine 25.  This is an unlisted denomination from the series of unregistered notes issued after the Union forces had arrived in New Orleans. Printed on brown paper by Douglas, Engr. N. Orleans. Moneta is seated at center, the same vignette as used on the Confederate T-14 $50 notes. Identical ends have a perpendicular TWO facing inward on shaded lathe work. Red protector \"2\" numerals flank the vignette; the red textual protector is shifted to the right on this note. We sold a $1 note from the series in PCGS Very Fine 30 at our 2014 FUN Sale for $1,880. This is an important banknote type and in choice condition. Ex: Eric P.
