French Point, MO - T. R. Livingston Redeemable in Specie in 1866, at Cadett, 1 M. R. R., Mo. $2 May 1, 1863. PCGS Very Fine 35. A very choice and extremely rare $2 Livingston scrip payable at Cadett. Countersigned on the back by Livingston's half-brother William Parkinson. This appears to be the highest denomination from the series. The style and layout are identical to the lesser denominations. Printed on pink rag paper without imprint in a smaller format than the 1862 series. Intricately patterned ends are thicker than the borders at top and bottom. The denomination is across the top, with town and date underneath. Across is the bolded \"Two Dollars.\" The obligation underneath states, \"...Or, redeemable in Specie in 1866, at Cadett, I. M. R. R., Mo.\" Serial no. 2; this serial number matches that on the 50 cents sold in Newman Internet 3 on May 3, 2017. A sharp example with wide side margins.
