Proof. PCGS Very Choice New 64 Apparent.  The first of a trio of \"eagles\" from the eponymous bank. They form quite a breathtaking set of color proofs engraved by the American Banknote Company. This India paper proof has a full green frame around a micro-lettered denomination grill across the center. At center, a wide-winged Bald Eagle with shield is cupped into the curved title; at lower right, the classic dog and safe vignette. Interestingly, there is no portion of a date engraved on the plate (noted by Haxby). Boldly designed and printed, this is the finest quality of the three denominations.
