PCGS Fine 15 Apparent.  A colorful American Bank Note Company engraved branch type, payable in Morgantown, from a bank based in Raleigh. Images abound on this lively layout. At the center, a farmer holds up a sheaf of hay for his horse to nibble on. Washington and {Monroe??} are flanking. The lower left shows a slave picking cotton. The rarely seen vignette of Benjamin Franklin setting type is at lower right. The title, \"20\" protectors, and counter surrounds are in vermillion. This is a scarcer denomination from the branch payable series. We have handled several notes of the design type, but not for this branch. Noted with \"Edge Repairs; Minor Ink Erosion; Small Holes.\" A difficult type in any grade. Ex: Eric P.
