PCGS Fine 15.  An exceedingly rare War of 1812-era small-denomination change bill payable \"two years after the termination of the present war.\" The Middletown Bank was formed in 1795, making it one of the nation's oldest banks. It issued several series of Obsolete notes until eventually converting to a National Bank during the Civil War. This small-format typeset note has a bold \"10\" at the center. Printed by Loomis & Richards, with their imprint at the right end. Signed by the cashier and president of the bank. There are three other notes from this series known to us, but not a 10 cents. This might be unique and is finer than the three denominations plated in the Whitman catalog. Ex: Eric P.
