PCGS Genuine.   This type was counterfeited in the period. Genuine notes from the bank are extremely difficult to find. The Toppan, Carpenter, Casilear & Co. imprint and ABC monogram are at the bottom. A steamboat vignette is at the top, and a male portrait is at the bottom left. Not seen here, female Union, was at the lower right. The plate letter is not seen. Serial no. 2032. There is not enough of the note to grade, but \"Genuine\" is certified. More than a filler, and 60% of the note is present. What remains is laminated on a plastic sheet. This is the only genuine $5 note from the bank Eric found and it has been the Collection for decades.
