PCGS Fine 12.  This is a change note denomination from an unusual scrip series printed on white paper in all blue, without imprint (likely Walker Agt. Print, Charleston, that printed the larger dollar denominations). The final date is overwritten on the engraved Jan. 1, 1869. Four textual lines are across with a large TEN CENTS; the note is enlivened by a pattern border all around. A small, charming vignette showing a large house with an evergreen tree and the outlines of clouds is at the lower left. The back has a small \"10\" die that mimics the style of First Issued United States Fractional Currency. Choice, not soiled heavily, and well above average for this very scarce note. Ex: Eric P.
