PCGS Very Fine 20 Apparent.   This is a rare and underappreciated denomination from the series. Printed by Murray, Draper, Fairman & Co. on red fiber banknote paper. The style and designs are similar to the $5 demand note, but the obligations across the center are different. The Jefferson bust vignette is at top center (but not titled) flanked by oval dies. Intricate end panels with FIVE at left and MISSOURI at right are identical to the demand-note type. Plate A. No. 477. Signed by John Dales as cashier and Aug. Chouteau as bank president. Noted with \"Small Edge Tears.\" This has also been in the Collection for decades. A pleasing example of a note that is difficult to find. Ex: Eric P.
