PCGS Very Fine 25.  Notes from this rare bank are among the most attractive of the Rhode Island Obsoletes. Nearly all were redeemed by the successor Slater National Bank of Pawtucket. Wellstood, Hanks, Hay & Whiting engraved the plates for this distinguished layout. A custom view of Pawtucket Falls and mills with the bridge over the river and buildings on each side is flanked by vibrant green \"X\" protectors. A portrait of the eponymous Samuel Slater is at the lower left. The note is bright, and well-margined. We have observed only one other issued $10 note from the bank. Most notes from the title are proofs originally sold in the Smythe & Co. 1994 St. Louis auction. This is truly a highlight from the Newman Collection New England Obsolete albums. Ex: Eric P.
