PCGS Very Fine 20 Apparent.  Remarkably, the Newman Collection contained five genuine notes from this rare bank and two-color series. This is the only issued note from the quintet and this SENC type is not canceled harshly like the $2 Haxby plate note. The full green tint plate across the note by the American Bank Note Company combines elegantly with the two immense red \"1\" protectors that are so vivid they practically jump off the green. At top center, animals refresh themselves in a watering hole. Numeric counters are in the upper corners, and a dog and safe motif is at lower right. Exceedingly rare as a type and issued note. Most notes from the bank were redeemed when the bank converted to a National Bank. Noted with \"Ink Erosion and Hinge Repairs,\" but overall sharp. An Upstate New York issued note rarity. Ex: Eric P.
