CAC.  The 1904 Morgan is a relatively scarce date despite a mintage of nearly 3 million coins. Gem and finer examples do not appear that often. Moreover, quality control was apparently not a priority in coining this date. The present near-Gem is a pleasing exception. Both sides display intense luster, and each reveals fewer marks than would be expected for the designated grade.
