On this proof, the card was cut down to 19.7cm by 9.5cm, and the note within is 19.0cm by 8.0cm, with the visible plate embossing delineating the margin. The new design begins development with a Washington portrait at the center. Facial features and hair are beginning to be fleshed out. Title blocks at the sides and denomination counters are in the beginning stages. A choice and interesting piece. Unique at this stage and one of very few Straker & Sons proofs known. Ex: Eric P.
