PCGS Very Fine 25 Apparent. A popular land company post note by Wellstood, Hay & Whiting. The top center vignette of Finding the Red Ear shows a game where the lucky cornhusker gets to give someone a kiss. Judging by the pile of husks, the group has been at this task for quite a while. While the young man seems pleased, the young lady appears reticent. A Native American hunter finishes off his prey at lower left. The right end has a tall, ornate \"1,\" and a red protector ONE is in the bottom half. The small print made this note payable 12 months later, which in that period could be an iffy proposition. Noted with \"Minor Stains\" only. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society, Heritage Auctions Internet Sale (5/2016).\n\n(Description courtesy of Heritage Auctions, ha.com.)
