PCGS Very Fine 30 PPQ.  The superb state of preservation does not overshadow this issuer's immense rarity. This is a beautifully styled note printed on light brown paper without imprint. An early steam locomotive heading east is trailed by a cargo-laden car and double-decker passenger car filled with travelers; flanking are \"2\" counters. The title is at center, obligation underneath, and a shaded red protector TWO DOLLARS across. The left end has ornate columnar details. At the upper right is a plate position letter \"D,\" which is not often seen on Civil War era scrip notes like this. Another amazing example of Louisiana currency from the Newman Collection.
