PCGS Fine 15.  The Newman Collection has several of the very rare War of 1812 era emergency notes that were printed without vignettes. This is a copperplate engraving with a W. Harrison imprint. It is a Shank Maryland reference plate note, illustrated on page 418. Delicate script combines with Gothic text for an elegant appearance. At the left end, a ONE counter is in an oval on a patterned rectangular background. A numerical counter is at the top, on the left side. This is very rare, and the grade is excellent for a note of this genre. Ex: Eric P.
