PCGS Fine 15 Apparent.  This simple note is an extreme rarity, and we believe the lowest denomination Obsolete note observed from the state. The size and style are similar to Vermont State Bank change notes from the period. A ruled border surrounds the text and the denomination dies of \"1/2\" in the left corner ovals. This is an early note. Most of them would have been redeemed by the bank. Grading notes: \"Tape Repaired Edge Splits, Tears, and Damage; Pieces Missing.\" This note is a little better than the Durand-Haxby-Whitman plate note; the condition of both certainly indicates a type necessary due to the scarcity of coinage during the period.
