At top center, Native Americans react with fear when approached by a pilgrim landing party. The vignette is not a titled historical scene, but it does fall into the group of known, attributed scenes the from Toppan, Carpenter & Co. imprint used on New England notes, such as Eliot and Roger Williams. A tall Native American hunter is at the left above a ONE die. A young woman in a frame is at the right end between counters. A red ONE protector is across the denomination and location.
