There are three men in the picture.  One is more of a background figure, wearing one towel around his waist and another over his shoulders, laughing at the antics.  Another man stands with him, very formally dressed in a tuxedo, with top hat, boutonniere and monocle.  He's smiling rather smugly.  The third man is hanging over the pool, having failed to cross it by using gymnastic rings.  He's also formally dressed, with his top hat falling over his eyes.  They appear to be in the 1920s.  The caption reads;  \"This Glossop had looped the last rope back against the rail, leaving me no alternative but to drop into the depths and swim ashore in evening costume.\"  No image found, but J.M. Flagg was known to do illustrations for some of P.G.
