A second exceedingly rare denomination from this New York-Iowa tie series, with the dominant St. Louis Omnibus Co. title across the center. Printed on bond paper from plates engraved by Toppan, Carpenter & Co., Cincinnati. Beneath the arcing title at top center, a screaming eagle stands on a rock lapped by ocean waves. The left end has a fancy denomination panel. A \"2\" die is in the upper right corner; in an ornate frame below, a half-turned woman holding grain shields her eyes from the sun. Plate A. This is likely a falsely filled in (\"Cass & Co.) remainder note like the other two in the series cataloged here. Beautifully styled and the first cataloged in a public sale.
