PCGS Very Fine 30. An intriguing and untitled counterfeit plate generic $100 \"blank\" note showing the Rawdon, Wright, Hatch & Edson, Boston imprint. An eagle on a high branch is at top center, and a red HUNDRED protector is across with two gray \"C\" protectors. The title and city could be stamped with engraved dies and the rest of note written in as needed. The generic type was also used in other New England states, such as Massachusetts and Vermont. This is important empirical evidence in the evolution of some counterfeiting in the period and rarely seen as a \"blank.\" Ex: Eric P.
