This is an interesting and rare local issue that shares similar style with the Sperry scrip notes that were secured by deposits at the Bank of Tennessee in Sparta. Printed on white rag paper. The denominations have a common style and use the same agricultural vignette at top center. The denomination of \"50\" appears in the upper corners. Perpendicular slanting \"FIFTY CENTS\" is at the sides and obligations are across. The signature of Clark is at bottom right. This denomination from the series is not reported in Garland; only the dollar-denominated notes are listed. Noted are \"Edge Tears and Minor Damage,\" but the note is bright. Ex: Eric P.
