The $20 notes returned with the May 20, 1777, \"First United States\" issue after a hiatus following the May 10, 1775, Marbled Border notes. The face emblem is the same as on the marbled $20 notes, with the wind personified as a large face creating waves with his strength. The motto VI CONCITATE (Driven by force) is above. The back has the buttercup nature print and the Hall and Sellers imprint. A lightly handled, well-printed note. Ex: Eric P.
