VA-22. PCGS Extremely Fine 40 Apparent.  This is another fascinating and unique legal primary source document concerning Colonial counterfeiting and includes a Virginia October 12, 1758 3 Pounds note (Fr. VA-22) pinned upon the bottom left of the document's text side. The serial number 311 note, with a false signature of Peyton Randolph, was a crude imitation of the genuine bill. The original document was folded into eighths and docketed on one eighth of the verso. Some of the text in this important document is covered by the pinned note. Like the North Carolina notes and document cataloged earlier in this sale, the phrase \"...being a Person of Evil Name, fame, and Dishonest Conversation...\" appears. A rare counterfeit note, and made more desirable with this primary source documentation and period seizure. Noted by PCGS are \"Internal Tears; Pinned to Document.\" Unique, unusual and historically significant. The document and transcription may be viewed on the Heritage website. Ex: Eric P.
