The bank is not listed in Haxby, but this post note is not different from most others from Mississippi that are included in his reference. The later, and more advanced, Guy Kraus book lists notes from the series, but without illustrations. This fully issued $5 payable \"ninety days\" after date in New Orleans is an unreported denomination. Engraved and printed by Woodruff, Tucker & Co., Cincinnati. A seated allegorical female as Justice, Commerce and Mechanics is at top center at a wharf. A sidewheel steamer is in the distance. Right of her, a man stacks boxes of goods. Elegant \"5\" dies are flanking, and \"V\" counters are in the upper corners. Justice, with scales and sword, leans rather casually on her elbow. A screaming eagle is at the right end. \"Tape Repaired Edge Tears\" are noted by grading. This great rarity faces up beautifully and it is the first we have cataloged.
