A mixed pair of certificates. State of Massachusetts Bay Hurd-engraved \"Pine Tree & Rattlesnake\" bond for 15 pounds. Class the Fourth. MA-16. Four small hole cancels are across, otherwise this is a well printed, solid Fine bond. There is minor ink erosion and paper toning; Commonwealth of Massachusetts treasury certificate for $100. MA-24. The pine tree vignette was trimmed off the indented design at left, and there are some faults. Splits and strip repairs are seen from the back. Overall, Very Good. Ex: Eric P.
