PCGS Choice About New 55 Apparent.  When the bank was organized, it quickly ordered four subject sheets of $10 notes but discovered that its paperwork with the government was not correct. As a result, these notes were most likely never delivered, although proofs like this were prepared. The bank was properly organized in 1864 as charter #458 and began issuing notes under that number. This proof, dated Nov. 2, 1863 and printed by American Bank Note Co., is printed on India paper with four HPCs.
