Kansas City, MO - Jos. Cahn Clothing Emporium $5 March 1, 1866 Vlack 1695 Advertising Note. PCGS Fine 12 Apparent. A rare ad note location and full $5 Legal Tender note mimic style on the face and back. The fully engraved and just-after-the-Civil-War date are also unusual and desirable. Lithographed by Gast, Moeller & Co. Lith. St. Louis. Gast family members would be involved in several lithographic firms over the next few decades and printed many of the \"Not Intended to be Used as Money\" western states' scrip. Though this is a mimic, the left end statue represents Minerva rather than Freedom, and the right portrait is likely proprietor Joseph Cahn. The signatures are \"Try & See\" and \"Jos.
