A better type and denomination from this St. Louis bank primarily known for a large quantity of $5s. Garfield is at left face, and Washington and the U.S. Capitol are in ovals on the back. Four wide margins, dark signatures, and vibrant color are found on this crisp and original. This Newman Collection note is as appealing as the Gerry Lane Collection note we sold at FUN in January 2014 for $1,116.50 (PMG Extremely Fine 40 with stains).  An underappreciated type from this well-known charter with lovely eye appeal. Ex: Eric P.
