CAC. JR-1, R.3. Ex: \"Col.\" E.H.R. Green. Only two die varieties are known for the 1824 Capped Bust dime, both using the same obverse with the 4 in the date punched over a 2 (and possibly a 3). This coin exhibits a flat top 1 in the denomination on the reverse, identifying the JR-1 variety. This attractive MS62 piece is well-detailed, with a touch of softness on the eagle's neck and some of Liberty's curls.
