Printed on India paper mounted on its original card by Durand, Hammond, & Mason, Cincinnati. The state capitol building in Jefferson City is at top right with \"2\" dies flanking. The right end has a strip of lathe work. The portrait of George Washington (originally engraved at Durand & Co., New York) at the left end was removed. The plates for the issue were used later to make reprints in different color inks. The India paper is \"Hole Punch Cancelled.\" Noted with \"Minor Stains; Piece Missing at Left.\" Despite the India paper fault, this is extremely rare as a period-printed proof.
