NJ-160. PCGS Very Fine 20 Apparent.  A beautiful example of the first dual-color New Jersey type. Only 500 were authorized from a series that remained legal tender through the Revolutionary War. The face printing uses red Royal arms, serial number cartouche, and two sun emblems. Blue texts are framed all around the note with wide blue bordering creating an impressive effect. The James Parker sage leaf back is printed in black. Noted with \"Small Edge Splits.\" Those are trivial details compared to the exceptional color contrast between the blue and red.
