PCGS Very Fine 20.  This intriguing Confederate controlled City of New Orleans $3 is in choice condition. Notes using this design style featured green, red, and in this case, a large blue protector THREE across the bottom center. At the upper right is a train heading west and at the far left a female vignette adapted from an 1830s Durand & Company style. The note was printed by Douglas, Engr. on the back of engraved 1830s notes we have not attributed fully. They are post notes and appear to be payable at \"[Apalachicol]a, Florida,\" (?) with a partial title that is [Bank of the Uni]ted States/[New]-York.\" A very well margined and sharp-looking example. This is another Newman Collection Louisiana note that should be appreciated for its excellent state of preservation. Ex: Eric P.
