PCGS Very Fine 20.  An incredible rarity from a town far north in Michigan. It is a rarely seen Third Issue Fractional currency mimic note. An oval portrait of Washington is at the center flanked by \"10\" counters. Scrollwork, flowers and other fancy elements are within the peripheral border. The issuer and town are engraved on the plate. The green back emblem shows the store name in the outer ring of a circle with more design elements in the inner ring and center. The note is not unique. We handled one in our September 2005 Long Beach sale where it realized $460 in raw Fine to Very Fine. A fascinating rarity and desirable as a Fractional currency mimic note. Ex: Eric P.
